*The startup*

WOOM (http://woomfertility.com/) is a tech startup with a big and single 
dream: help people have kids. It’s an encounter between health and 
technology, mostly “mobile based”. The digital platform for fertility 
will help increase people’s chances of conceiving naturally and faster, 
by improving their fertility parameters, as well as help them make 
faster decisions when a fertility treatment might be required and 
support. We developed an algorithm that calculates daily probabilities 
of pregnancies and delivers personalized content about fertility and 
wellness. WOOM has recently launched the first Android app. We are 
working from Google Campus Madrid and from the incubator SeedRocket.


*Team*

We are a team of eight talented professionals: lead developer, two 
Android developers, product, content, and two founders who combine more 
than 35 years experience in tech.


*Who are we looking for?*

We are looking for a Software Engineer with solid Python skills, backend 
oriented, who will help us to build a solid, scalable platform that will 
be the core of our product.

He will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the 
backend that currently is being consumed by our mobile app, supporting 
thousands of users per month and managing hundreds of thousands of 
transactions working closely our lead developer.

We need someone detail-oriented, proactive, motivated and who really 
understands the importance of maintaining perfectly optimized, well 
tested backend services. Someone that masters common but universal best 
practices in software engineering such as continuous integration, 
continuous delivery and testing.

We are a multi-task team where each team player wears many hats, so if 
you're also experienced with other programming languages, DevOps, 
Frontend and Mobile apps (Android, iOS) you'll get extra points.


*Required skills*

- From 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial software engineering 
products.

- Python 3.x, Django framework.

- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL. NoSQL databases are a plus.

- Quality obsessed, product oriented.

- Software architecture: microservices, scalability, fault tolerance, 
production monitoring experience.

- Able to work flexibly and independently in an agile, fast changing 
environment.

- Team builder, hard worker, fast learner.

- Willing to change the world and help thousands of people all around te 
world to be parents.


*Valuable skills*

- We value experience with iOS/Android development.

- Other programming languages such as Java, Scala.

- Security.

- Statistical and Mathematical background. Machine learning.

- Spanish and English speaker.


*What we offer*

A product that will change people’s life, work flexibility, talented and 
fun team, based in Madrid from Google Campus. Salary may vary between 
20k and 30k per year.
